Getting a mortgage for an investment property can be more complex than a traditional first mortgage on your principal residence. The rates will very based on number of units, residential or commercial units, how the unit/ units will be occupied and by who along with many different factors.

There is two main types of mortgages you'll get for investment properties, rental property mortgages and commercial property mortgage. The commercial mortgage is generally going to require a larger down payment as well as higher interest rates. If you don't qualify for either mortgages you can also take the private mortgage route as well and we would be happy to explore all options.
